Following the last Ebola status Update issued on 28th May 2026, Kenya Tourism Federation will issue weekly updates to keep the Local Travel Trade and international Partners fully informed of developments in Kenya in this regard:
Current Situation:
1. There continues to be no reported cases of Ebola detected in Kenya.
2. Surveillance and screening activities have been enhanced at designated points of entry with the list of countries that require to fill the Surveillance Form having been increase to 12. These includes all neighbouring countries in the East Africa region (except Kenya).
3. The existing public health measures that have been introduced, including the traveller surveillance continue to be in effect during the reporting period.
Outlook going forward: Kenya remains free of any active Ebola cases and Health authorities continue to closely monitor regional developments. Measures to ensure early detection and rapid response are in place, with health authorities on high alert.
Next Update: This update will remain valid until 10 June 2026, unless significant developments
warrant earlier communication.
