Drive across the Athi plains to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. An afternoon safari game drive is planned. Amboseli is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Dinner and overnight at an Amboseli safari lodge or camp.
The search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during our early morning safari game drive. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and Leopard hiding amidst acacia trees. Following breakfast, our destination is Tsavo, Kenya’s largest National Park. We make a special stop at Mzima Springs, where from an underwater tank; it is sometimes possible to watch hippos along the floor of these crystal springs. Tsavo is also famous for its large herds of elephant. Dinner and overnight at a Tsavo West safari lodge or camp.
An early morning safari game drive permits further exploration of Tsavo West. The Park has large number of birds estimated to be over 500 species. After breakfast depart for Mombasa, arriving early afternoon.
